ACTUALIZATION OF THE FORMATION OF HEALTH-SAVING COMPETENCE IN THE STUDY OF THE DISCIPLINE “GENERAL HYGIENE” FOR FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN THERAPY AND REHABILITATION

Abstract

The relevance of the problem highlighted in this article is caused by the need of society for highly qualified specialists in therapy and rehabilitation who have good health and a clear position on its protection.The purpose of the research is to theoretically comprehend health competence as a component of the professional activity of a future specialist in therapy and rehabilitation with an interpretation of its components. In considering competence, the research defines it as a set of knowledge, skills, abilities and personal qualities. This complex is aimed at effectively solving problems in specific areas of activity, but its concept goes beyond technical and professional aspects to include social and personal components. Competence is demonstrated in the ability of a therapy and rehabilitation professional to achieve goals and solve problems within the scope of their professional activities. Particular attention is paid to the understanding of health competence as a more broad concept that takes into account a deep understanding of the subject area and the ability to interact effectively with the environment.The article actualizes the problem of forming health-saving competence in the system of training future specialists in therapy and rehabilitation, focusing on the definition of the concept of “health-saving competence”. The factors that can have negative consequences, leading to a series of occupational diseases, are analyzed. The analysis is aimed at forming a strong position of higher education students to prevent the development of diseases that can lead t disability. The article reviews scientific sources, conducts a thorough analysis of publications and dissertation research to determine the purpose, subject, and methods of forming the health-saving competence of future specialists in therapy and rehabilitation.Therefore, the purpose of the article is to study the ways of forming health-saving competence in the system of training future specialists in therapy and rehabilitation in higher education, as well as to create the basis for leading a healthy lifestyle.
