Phantom limb pain syndrome occurs in 50–80% of patients who have undergone amputation. The experience of using the treatment tactics for the prevention of phantom pain in 18 patients with amputations proposed by avors is summarized. Minimally traumatic intervention, treatment of the nerve stump by the "trap" type, perioperative multimodal nociceptive analgesia in combination with the prevention of the neuropathic pain component (coenzymes, antioxidants and nucleotides) allowed us to obtain good results in the vast majority of cases. The encouraging results obtained require further investigation due to the small number of observations.
