MODERN REALITIES OF STUDYING FOREIGN STUDENTS IN A HIGHER MEDICAL SCHOOL DURING THE WAR

Abstract

This article highlights the peculiarities of the education of foreign students at the Department of Pathological Physiology of the Bukovyna State Medical University, taking into account the period of military operations on the territory of Ukraine. The current relevance and importance of knowledge of a foreign language for the teaching staff of a higher medical school against the background of the universitys close cooperation with international organizations and educational institutions is summarized. Detailed recommendations for teachers regarding the education of foreign citizens were also considered, various problems and difficulties in the teaching process were clarified.The main purpose of knowledge of the professional English language by university teachers has been defined — training of future medical workers in the skillful use of acquired knowledge and skills in future professional activities, participation in various scientific conferences, forums, generalization and exchange of experience, as well as creating comfortable conditions for studying foreign students without knowledge of Ukrainian languages The author noted that this very goal will form critical, clinical thinking in students, will contribute to the development of the communicative component in the work of a health care specialist.In order to achieve the main goal, the latest approaches to teaching in a foreign language are necessary, the improvement of skills by the teaching staff due to listening, speaking, reading, writing, as well as the accumulation of educational material for students through careful selection taking into account the individual age, intellectual characteristics of the student, his initial level of knowledge. The article highlights the leading interactive methods of teaching students of foreign groups: different-level test tasks, clinical situational tasks, simulation training classes, individual projects, various types of final test control depending on the content and complexity of individual blocks and sections of theoretical and practical information according to the university curriculum.
