CHARACTERISTICS OF FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE EFFICIENT WORK OF NURSES

The purpose of our article was to identify and characterize the factors that contribute to the effective work of a nurse to improve her working conditions and, accordingly, patient care. As never before, the healthcare industry worldwide is facing a shortage of registered nurses. Job satisfaction means a pleasant and positive emotional state that occurs when evaluating the work experience with the attitude to one's work. A content analysis study of nurses' job satisfaction found that the main factors of satisfaction are a work environment that facilitates the delivery of care services, as well as the interpersonal relationships of nurses. If nurses are not satisfied with their work, they cannot perform it effectively and develop as professionals. The most important characteristic of nursing, which contributes to its professionalization, is attention to professional values. Love for the profession is one of the signs that has a significant impact on the profession and the provision of highly qualified services. In the US, the essential qualities of a good nurse that help them succeed in today's fast-paced and ever-changing world of medicine are caring and compassion, communication skills, empathy, organization and attention to detail, problem-solving skills, resilience, and resilience, a sense of humor, advocacy patient rights, willingness to learn and develop, critical thinking, time management, integrity and leadership, experience, culture, and awareness. By implementing strategies that promote social motivation, psychological stability, sound decisionmaking, information sharing, and a comfortable work environment, healthcare organizations can improve the well-being of nurses, and thus the outcomes of treatment and patient care.
