DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY AND ANALYSIS OF HOMEOPATHIC PREPARATIONS NERIUM OLEANDER IN PHARMACY CONDITIONS

Abstract

The manufacture of medicines in a pharmacy allows for an individual approach to therapy and rational combination of active ingredients depending on the patient's needs. This is especially relevant in the treatment of chronic heart failure, where homeopathic preparations based on plant raw materials can become an effective component of complex therapy due to the absence of toxicity and side effects. The aim of the work is to develop manufacturing technology and quality control methods for homeopathic preparations of Nerium Oleander in pharmacy production conditions. Materials and methods. The object of the study was fresh leaves of common oleander (Nerium Oleander). During the work, the moisture content of the raw material, dry residue and juice content were determined according to generally accepted pharmacopoeial methods. The quality control of the obtained matrix tincture was carried out by organoleptic and physicochemical indicators (density, ethanol content, dry residue) in accordance with the requirements of the State Federal University of Ukraine. The identification of the main groups of biologically active substances was carried out using qualitative chemical reactions. The quality assessment of homeopathic granules "Nerium Oleander X3" was carried out by pharmacotechnological indicators: uniformity of color, average weight of one granule, number of stuck particles, loss in mass upon drying, fluidity, and also disintegration time according to the State Federal University of Ukraine. Research results. Based on the determined juice content in the raw material (19.95%), it was established that the technology for manufacturing the matrix tincture "Nerium Oleander" should be carried out according to method 1.1.5 of the State Federal Institute of Pharmacy. Flowcharts of the technological process for preparing the matrix tincture by maceration and subsequent manufacturing of homeopathic granules "Nerium Oleander X3" by saturating sugar granules with an appropriate dilution substances were developed. The compliance of the obtained preparations with the requirements of the State Federal Institute of Pharmacy was experimentally confirmed for organoleptic, physicochemical and pharmacotechnological parameters and the content of identified BAS (cardiac glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, etc.). Conclusions. The technology of extemporaneous manufacturing of homeopathic preparations Nerium Oleander has been scientifically substantiated and developed. The proposed quality control methods allow to guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the developed medicines for use in cardiological practice.
